Rhapsody Originals

Rhapsody Originals is one of Taylor’s live extended plays, released on November 6, 2007, through Big Machine Records. It was exclusively available on the streaming service Napster, formerly called Rhapsody. The EP featured four songs from her debut album, Taylor Swift (2006), that were re-recorded at a private recording studio.
Background and Release
In 2007, Taylor stopped by Rhapsody for a private recording engagement where she performed and recorded four “Rhapsody Originals” versions of her most popular radio hits up until that point. The acoustic takes of these songs are intimate and powerful; rich wooden six-string tones intertwine with timeless banjo plucking, fiddle drones, Dobro slide-guitar and Taylor’s smooth but youthful voice.
