Greeting Cards, Stationery | 2009-2014
“We are absolutely thrilled and honored to introduce Taylor Swift as the newest writer and creative contributor to the American Greetings family,” stated Zev Weiss, CEO at American Greetings. “Her abilities as a storyteller and songwriter make her a natural at writing cards for consumers of all ages. She has the unique ability to connect with her fans through life experiences and greeting cards do the same — cards help people express, connect and celebrate these events with the important people in their lives. We believe it’s a natural fit!”
During their partnership, Taylor was working with American Greetings‘ editorial and creative teams to design, develop and create cards and products that reflected and demonstrated not only her personality, but brought her stories and words to life.
Taylor Swift Greeting Card Mobile App
Inspired by the aesthetics and images from Taylor’s fourth album, RED (2012), the app launched with features unique to the Taylor Swift card collection that fans had grown to love for the previous three years. These digital greeting cards featured ambient music from RED, and were for sharing a little happiness with all the awesome people in your life.
The app included a jukebox that played snippets of RED that could easily be turned on while browsing the mobile card rack, as well as a reminder service that let users connect to Facebook so there was never an excuse to miss a friend’s birthday. The app also included a store locator to direct you to retailers that sold the Taylor Swift collection, creating the ultimate greeting card fan experience.
“We are thrilled to bring the Taylor Swift card collection directly to the hands of her biggest fans and greeting card enthusiasts,” states Michael Brown, VP, licensing at American Greetings. ”We’ve seen great success with the paper card collections and believe the free mobile app is a natural next step in allowing fans to personalize a card that’s uniquely them – and uniquely Taylor Swift.”
The “Taylor Swift Greeting Cards” mobile app is no longer available.
