The Starlights
Taylor Swift's Backup Singers
The Starlights are Taylor’s four backup singers: Jeslyn Gorman, Eliotte Nicole Woodford, Kamilah Marshall, and Melanie Nyema. Their name is a nod to Taylor’s song “Starlight,” which first appeared on her RED album (2012). They made their debut performance with Taylor at the 2012 MTV VMAs, singing “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Known as “the fearsome foursome,” the Starlights do more than provide background vocals—they perform choreographed routines for each show, adding energy and visual flair that complement Taylor’s live performances. Their presence on stage has become a key element of Taylor’s concerts, helping to shape both the sound and the spectacle of her shows.
