Melanie Nyema
Vocal Co-Captain, Backup Vocals
Melanie Nyema is from La Mirada, California (USA). She attended Southern California University.
Melanie has worked as a backup singers for many musicians, including Taylor Hicks. She and Kamilah Marshall have also sang with Shoshana Bean.
She has also done some work with Barry Manilow, where she also excelled not only as a singer but as a dancer. This is the kind of talent that makes her a perfect fit for the backup singers as they now have their own choreography as part of Taylor’s team.
She first joined The Starlights in 2012, during the beginning of the RED era and has performed with Taylor ever since, including “The RED Tour” (2012-2013), “The 1989 World Tour” (2015), the “reputation Stadium Tour” (2018) and “The Eras Tour” (2023-2024).
