Heather Phares of <em>Allmusic<\/em> praised the track, calling it the best song on <em>Hannah Montana: The Movie<\/em>. She complimented it for being \u201cmore genuine, more effortless, than any of [Cyrus\u2019] or Hannah\u2019s tracks\u201d. James Berardinelli agreed, stating, \u201cArguably, the movie\u2019s biggest mistake is having Taylor Swift perform a song, since she can sing and the comparison is not flattering to the movie\u2019s star.\u201d <em>Premiere<\/em> magazine reviewer Olivia Putnal referred to Taylor\u2019s performance one of the film\u2019s \u201chigh points\u201d.
