In the album liner notes, she included the hidden message for the song as &#8220;Love and Theft&#8221;, referencing a country music duo who had <a href=\"https:\/\/taylorswiftswitzerland.ch\/index.php\/tours\/tour-opening-act\/\">toured with her at the time<\/a>. Do you think that you could say hi to them?&#8217; I said, &#8216;Sure, have them come and hang out while we&#8217;re recording.&#8217; So his daughters and their friends from school \u2013 there were about ten of them there \u2013 they all came into the studio when we were recording &#8216;Hey Stephen&#8217; and they loved it.
