After her secrets were being leaked all over the world she moved away from Hollywood and disappeared from the spotlight forever. Some of the lyrics could possibly be referencing how Wilde left her career to become a landscape gardener. Furthermore, the main melody is sampled from Wilde\u2019s \u201cFour Letter Word\u201d. More than their stories being told, I\u2019m pretty much singing about what I\u2019m scared of in that song, ending up kind of caught up in this whole thing, and lonely, and feeling misunderstood, and feeling like when people think you\u2019re lucky that you\u2019re really not. It kind of expresses my greatest fear of having this not end up being fun anymore, having it end up being a scary place. Some people get there, some people end up there. That track falls into a little bit more of a Springsteen, Joni Mitchell vein, which I think shows a lot of maturity and what a good songwriter she is. The lyrics are kind of about her, it has a story, and at the end I think she\u2019s talking about Joni Mitchell rejecting fame, even though she never mentions her. She was on tour in a hotel room alone feeling a little too famous when she wrote that. Not many people can understand what it is like to be famous and in the years after this song\u2019s release her worst fears came true in <a href=\"https:\/\/taylorswiftswitzerland.ch\/index.php\/wiki\/music-hiatus\/\">2016<\/a> when some of her rivals in the industry (including Scooter Braun, Kanye West and Justin Bieber) succeded in launching a worldwide hate campaign against her. She disappeared from public view for an entire year and thought about quitting music for good. She has since written multiple songs about her own \u201ccottage backup plan,\u201d including \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/taylorswiftswitzerland.ch\/index.php\/albums\/reputation-album\/the-reputation-songs\/call-it-what-you-want\/\">Call It What You Want<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/taylorswiftswitzerland.ch\/index.php\/albums\/folklore-album\/folklore-songs\/the-lakes\/\">the lakes<\/a>\u201c. Sometimes you have a really bad day. Your life is constantly analyzed. There\u2019s a lot of trade-offs. There\u2019s the microscope that\u2019s always on you. The camera flashes, the fear that something you say will be taken the wrong way and you\u2019ll let your fans down. There\u2019s the fear that you\u2019ll be walking down the street and your skirt will blow up and you\u2019ll be in the news for three months. You\u2019re scared of a lot of things for a lot of the time, but the trade-off of being able to get on a big stage and sing your songs.
