\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFollowing Speak Now<\/em><\/a> (2010), Taylor deliberately broadened her approach for RED<\/em>, working with new songwriters and producers as she experimented with sounds beyond the country-pop foundation of her earlier albums. One of those collaborators was Dan Wilson, the former Semisonic frontman and Grammy-winning songwriter, whom Taylor met for two consecutive writing days in Los Angeles in April 2012. The pair wrote two songs together: \u201cCome Back\u2026Be Here\u201d on the first day and \u201cTreacherous<\/a>\u201d on the second.\n

\nWilson recalled that Taylor arrived at the session with much of \u201cCome Back\u2026Be Here\u201d already taking shape. On her way to meet him, she had developed the concept, melody and overall feel of the song, and they completed it by the end of that first day. The song grew out of the idea of meeting someone and immediately feeling a strong connection, only for that person to leave almost as soon as the relationship begins\u2014an emotional situation Taylor later described as the anxiety and uncertainty that comes with falling for someone who is suddenly far away. He brought in Andy Thompson, a fellow Minneapolis native, to contribute instruments, while Wilson himself played piano and guitar and Taylor contributed guitar; the recording was completed across studios in Los Angeles and Minneapolis. Wilson ultimately kept Taylor\u2019s vocal from the original Los Angeles demo, explaining that the clarity and energy of her performance made the first recording particularly effective.\n

\n\u201cCome Back\u2026Be Here\u201d was released on October 22, 2012, as the eighteenth track on the deluxe edition of RED<\/em>. The deluxe edition was initially sold through Target in the United States, alongside \u201cThe Moment I Knew<\/a>\u201d and \u201cGirl At Home<\/a>\u201d and several alternate recordings.
