Early in her career, she also had the opportunity to share the stage with icons such as Nell Carter, Salt-N-Pepa, and Patti LuPone.\n<br><br>\nSince 2003, she has been a member of the Staggering Harlettes, serving as a backup singer for Bette Midler on &#8220;The Kiss My Brass World Tour&#8221; and later in <em>The Showgirl Must Go On<\/em> residency at Caesar\u2019s Palace in Las Vegas. On Broadway, Kamilah\u2019s credits include <em>RENT<\/em>, Disney\u2019s <em>The Lion King<\/em>, and originating the role of a Dynamite in <em>Hairspray The Musical<\/em>. She reprised this role in NBC\u2019s <em>Hairspray Live!<\/em> (2016).
