“Spinning Around” is one of Taylor’s many unreleased songs, although it appeared on her 2003 untitled Vol. 2 demo CD. She wrote the song about her crush during sophomore year of high school who wanting to get back together with his ex.

Background

Taylor wrote “Spinning Around” when she was 13 years old. She eventually performed “Spinning Around” at her school talent show (Wyo Idol), like she did a few years later with her first No. 1 hit, “Our Song“. She won.

The unreleased song was made popular among fans thanks to a live performance clip of it that is included in Taylor’s documentary “Journey to Fearless” (2010). It was also used in an interlude during “The RED Tour” (2013-2014).
