Background and Announcement

Speculation about a new documentary or concert film began circulating among fans after camera crews were spotted at Taylor’s final “Eras Tour” stop in Vancouver, British Columbia, in December 2023—far exceeding what would typically be used for in-arena visuals. At the time, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (2023), the theatrical concert film capturing earlier dates of the tour, had already been released in cinemas worldwide and was streaming on Disney+.

Finally, Taylor announced the 6-episode docuseries on October 13, 2025. Officially titled Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era, it is directed by Don Argott, co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce, and produced by Object & Animal. Taylor shared on social media:

«It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down.»
